PUBG Mobile 0.9.0 update
The popular battle royal game PUBG is getting some cool upgrades in the last week of October. ‘Tencent’ will be rolling out some new features, bug fixes and improvements to the game. There are also new in-app purchases that include a redesigned Royale Pass missions page and customizable outfits. Currently, PUBG Mobile is trending and it has over 20 million daily active users.
PUBG Mobile 0.9.0 update: New features
PUBG Mobile is getting Night Mode feature in Erangel. While matchmaking in Erangel Map, players will randomly get dropped in day and night environments. Tencent has also added Night Vision Goggles to make the experience more realistic. Players will be able to pick-up this night vision goggles from different buildings.
Halloween is coming, so PUBG Mobile is also creating a thematic makeover for Halloween celebration. Players will be able to activate Halloween music from the settings menu. And the player will get a 50% chance to activate the night mode during this period of Halloween music.
Spawn Islands will have festival look. Players will be able to pick-up pumpkins and candies on this Island. In the Halloween theme, the player killed by AKM or Hellfire will transform into scarecrows.
Sanhok also getting some additions coming with this 0.9.0 update. The Mini 14 will be replaced with QBU DMR. This QBU DMR is a marksman rifle which fires 5.56mm rounds. The 0.9.0 update also brings the Rony pickup truck to Sanhok map.
While using vehicles, a random music will be played. This will be applicable to all maps in the game.
The new PUBG Mobile 0.9.0 update is adding spectator mode. This mode will offer to watch the game of the opponent after a player gets killed.
A new currency in the form of Challenge Coins is also being introduced which will be awarded to players participating in the Crew Challenges. There is also one more update to the crew. It includes Crew Challenge tournament for which the leaders can assign players from the crew. These players will represent their respective crew in the tournament. There will be three rounds in the Crew tournament: qualifiers, groups and finals. The player and team will be rewarded if they show the best performance in this tournament.
PUBG Mobile 0.9.0 update: Improvements and Bug fixes
Tencent has also added an option in the system which will prioritize matching players with those that speak the same language. Players should now experience a faster matchmaking time because Matchmaking has also undergone some changes.
Various lag issues throughout the game have also been fixed in 0.9.0 update. For example, the one time when you encountered that enemy far away or when a player opens the backpack to change attachments. These are some of the areas which have been optimized further to make the gameplay swift.
PUBG Mobile 0.9.0 update: Release date
As the rollout of the 0.9.0 update begins, the game will only download the additional files as opposed to earlier where players had to download the entirety of the map. The update will hit Android and iOS devices by the last week, on 25th October.
