Razer Blade Stealth Price & Availability:

Razer Blade Stealth Travel companion

The price of Razer Blade Stealth is around $1,399 (£1,300, AU$2,449). It is available on all online stores. There are 3 different variants to choose from. It is available with an Intel i7 processor, up to 16GB RAM, 256GB/512GB storage, new options for a discrete graphics card, and a 1080p or 4K display. The highest model UHD touchscreen 4K model is available for $1,899.

Razer laptops have typical black-green color variants, but this laptop is also available with a limited edition “quartz pink” finishing color. The Stealth’s pink anodized exterior goes through the same manufacturing processes as the black Blades do, so the color won’t just rub off. The pink colorway even applies to details as small as the laptop’s screws.

Design & Display:

The Blade Stealth is the thinnest and smallest laptop from the Razer company. This ultrabook is 15mm thick, 12 inches wide and 8 inches tall. It has a 13.3-inch FHD matte screen with an anti-glare coating (100 percent sRGB, factory calibrated, and 4.9mm side bezels). You can either choose a 1080p or 4K display variant.

Razer Blade Stealth New Logo

On the left side, there is USB 3.0, Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port (with four PCI Express lanes), and a 3.5mm audio jack. On the left side, there is one USB-C 3.1 and a second USB 3.0 port. The Blade Stealth has a 720p IR webcam. It comes with Windows Hello facial recognition feature. You can use this feature to unlock your laptop. For wireless connectivity, it has 802.11ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0.

Razer Blade Stealth Keyboard

On both sides of the keyboard, there are 4 Dolby Atmos up-firing speakers. Even at high volume, these speakers give you clear mids and non-distorted highs, bass which is really impressive.

Performance:

Razer Stealth Blade comes with a Whisky Lake Quad-Core 8th Gen Intel i7-8565U processor. It runs at a base frequency of 1.8GHz and a maximum Turbo clock speed of 4.6GHz. It comes with up to 16GB DDR4 SDRAM 2,133MHz, 4GB Nvidia GeForce MX150, 512GB SSD.

The performance of Blade Stealth is limited as it is a thin ultrabook. Of course, this laptop has a better discrete graphics card than other thin ultrabooks, but you can not enjoy the latest high-level intensive AAA game titles on it. The 25-watt Nvidia GeForce MX150 discrete GPU is good for light gaming uses. You can definitely use Lightroom and Photoshop as well as the occasional casual or older games that aren’t too graphics-intensive.

Razer Blade Stealth Gaming Nvidia MX150

The Battlefield V, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Far Cry 5, and Ghost Recon: Wildlands on the MX150 barely reach 30 fps at low settings. But you can enjoy older games like BioShock 2, NFS, or League of Legends at 60 fps with maxed graphical settings and with no stuttering on Blade Stealth. It is better for less demanding genres like strategy, CCGs, even some MOBAs if you don’t care about visual fidelity and maximum frames.

But Wait!! If you really want to use this laptop for gaming then you can use Thunderbolt 3 port to connect external GPU. You can connect Razer Core V2 with an RTX 2080Ti graphics to the laptop through the Thunderbolt 3 port. By this method, you can enjoy Battlefield V with all of its settings maxed out on a 35-inch ultrawide display at over 70 frames per second!!

Battery Life:

Battery backup of Blade Stealth is good. It gives around 8-9 hours of web usage with WiFi connected and lower brightness. While in the gaming department, the battery doesn’t last long. It gives 2-3 hours backup while gaming. The laptop also heats up because of the metal body, so we suggest you not use it on your lap.

Should you buy Razer Blade Stealth?

Razer’s 2019 Blade Stealth is an ultraportable laptop that packs a sharp redesign, a new dedicated graphics option, and a strong supporting feature set. It becomes an excellent travel companion and a light gaming machine. Razer Blade Stealth is a perfect Windows alternative to a 13-inch MacBook Pro. We recommend this laptop for a premium build, superior display, productivity, and content creation.
