Nokia’s Mid-range Cell Phones with Triple Rear Cameras
HMD Global launched the new Nokia 7.2 and 6.2 mobiles at IFA 2019, Berlin on Thursday. The smartphones will come with some upgrades over their predecessors Nokia 7.1 & Nokia 6.1.
Both phones are expected to come to India and other Asian regions soon. There is an event organized by HMD on 11 September in India where they will launch these smartphones in the Indian Market.

Nokia 7.2 and 6.2 Specifications & Features:
The noticeable upgrades in Nokia 7.2 and 6.2 are the triple rear camera, a faster Snapdragon processor, and a premium glass design. Nokia 7.2 comes in Cyan Green, Charcoal, and Ice color variants. Design & Display:
Nokia 7.2 and 6.2 both come with 6.3-inch FHD+ PureDisplay screens. PureDisplay offers higher contrast and a wider dynamic range. There is a waterdrop notch on the display. The screen supports full HDR.
Both phones have a premium glass design and come with Gorilla Glass 3 on the front and back. There is a polymer composite material for the frame which is stronger than polycarbonate and lighter than aluminum.
Processor & RAM:
The Nokia 7.2 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 660 chipset and 4/6GB RAM options. Nokia 6.2 comes with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC and 3/4GB RAM options.
Storage:
Nokia 7.2 comes with 64GB and 128 GB internal storage options while Nokia 6.2 comes with 32GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage options. You can extend external storage up to 512GB with a MicroSD card.
Cameras:
Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 6.2 come with triple rear cameras. Nokia 7.2 comes with the main 48MP f/1.79 Samsung GM1 sensor, an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 5MP depth sensor.
Nokia 6.2 comes with a Main 16MP f/1.8 sensor, an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP depth sensor.
Nokia 7.2 has a 20MP f/2.0 front camera. Nokia 6.2 comes with an 8MP f/2.0 front camera for selfies.
Software:
Both Nokia 7.2 and 6.2 are Android One Smartphones with Stock Android 9 Pie. Both cell phones are Android 10 ready and will get future Android & Security Updates for up to 3 years.

Both smartphones support 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, USB Type-C, GPS for connectivity.

Nokia 7.2 has a global average retail price of EUR 249, RS 19,700 approximately for the base model. Nokia 6.2 price has been set at EUR 199, Rs 15,800 approximately for the base model.

The Nokia 7.2 has a more powerful processor and a higher resolution main camera (48MP vs 16MP). Nokia 6.2 is slightly cheaper and offers a similar battery life.
For most users, the Nokia 7.2 offers better performance and camera quality. But if you prioritize price and battery life, the Nokia 6.2 is a good option.
Neither phone is ideal for high-end gaming due to their mid-range processors. However, they can handle casual gaming and less demanding titles.
