Design and Display:
Huawei P20 Pro comes with a shiny design which makes it stand out from others. It has two big aluminum plates of rounded-off Gorilla Glass with a filling of metal finishing off its sides. It looks like shining steel and it is durable in any condition. The phone is slimmer than Samsung S9 Plus and you will not feel heavy even if it has a bigger 4,000mAh battery.
There are eye-catching gradient versions available to purchase. Purple or Midnight Blue versions look beautiful. The Huawei P20 Pro is also a little prone to fingerprint smudges and the slightly raised camera housing picks up dust fairly quickly.
The smartphone is rated IP67 for splash, water, and dust resistance under IEC standard 60529 and was tested under controlled laboratory conditions. Splash, water, and dust resistance are not permanent conditions, and resistance may decrease over time with normal use. You should not charge a wet phone because the warranty does not cover liquid damage.
Huawei P20 Pro has a 1080 x 2244 AMOLED display. It is a 6.1-inch near-edge-to-edge Full HD+ FullView display with an 18.7:9 aspect ratio. There is also a small notch on top. It has a 408ppi pixel density. With its perfect black, and blue spot density, the display quality is excellent. You can also set up tones and colors in settings according to your choice.
A screen protector also comes in a box of the phone. A plastic screen may put fingerprints, so you should use a tempered glass screen protector.
Huawei P20 Pro Camera:
Huawei P20 Pro introduced the world’s first Leica Triple Camera. The triple camera includes a 40MP RGB main sensor, a 20MP black & white sensor that helps in processing images, and a third lens – a 5x ‘hybrid zoom’ sensor. This pushes the boundary of mobile photography.
By using Huawei P20 Pro, you can shoot 40MP photos and even 76.2MB DNG RAW files while using Pro modes. You can see so much sharpness and details in these photos even when you zoom in fully. That is mind-blowing!
The phone also uses AIS – Huawei’s software version of optical image stabilization (OIS), to get rid of the need for mechanical stabilization. Huawei P20 Pro handles every shake while shooting and gives superb stable images and videos.
It also uses relatively high ISO sensitivity at night, but the resulting images are still comparable with the best, including the iPhone X. Huawei’s processing and AIS seem to work.
The camera performs well in low-light conditions at night. You can get ultra-dark shots with dynamic range and detail far over most of this phone’s rivals. There’s a slow-motion video feature where you can shoot 960 frames per second.
Huawei P20 Pro has a 24MP front camera. It also takes great selfies in the day and even in low lights. It delivers vibrant, sharp, dazzling images with a 24.8 MP CMOS sensor.
Performance:
Huawei P20 Pro comes with an Android 8.1 and Huawei EMUI 8.1 interface. It has a Kirin 970 chipset with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The Kirin 970 has eight cores. Four are Cortex-A73s cores, designed for high-performance tasks, and the other four are Cortex-A53s cores, for everyday use. Therefore it offers great performance in everything.
You can play any game and use any app without lags. This phone handles everything smoothly. With revolutionary image processing acceleration powered by GPU Turbo Technology, the Huawei P20 Pro offers you a smooth and flowing gaming experience.
Battery Life:
Huawei P20 Pro has a 4,000mAh non-removable battery. It also comes with fast charging technology. While using it for a full day playing videos, songs, YouTube, and Social media, you’ll find that 40% battery is remaining. You can play games without any worries. This phone has great battery life. On normal use, the phone can last 2 days with a single full battery charge.
