Price and Release Date:

It was released on 3 November 2017, with a price tag of $999 / £999 / AU$1,579 for the basic, 64GB model. For a larger 256GB model, the price is $1,149 / £1,149 / AU$1,829. The price is harder to swallow.

iPhone X Display:

iPhone X has a better screen than previous Apple smartphones. It is the first thing you’ll notice when you pick up the phone. It has a 5.8-inch stunning OLED display and greater color reproduction than the old iPhone 8 and 8 Plus.

Also, it is sharper and of superb quality. The display is crisp and clean, it doesn’t suffer from terrible color shifts when you move it around. You can look at the display from all angles.

There is a notch at the top of the iPhone X. It can be irritant while watching movies. Because that notch cut out some display and it is noticeable while watching movies in landscape mode.

HDR playback is the new feature Apple showcases on the iPhone X display. With the HDR playback feature, the iPhone X can show movies encoded in the HDR10 and Dolby Vision formats, and combined with the OLED display the images offer so much more depth and realistic color reproduction. You can notice richness, overall depth, and colors on the display.

Face ID:

Apple iPhone X uses a Face ID feature to unlock the phone. Apple’s facial recognition tech is ahead of anything else on the market right now. Face ID works flawlessly. You can use the Face ID feature to unlock your phone in a dark room, in low light, or even if you are moving. You just have to raise your phone and look at the screen, and it is unlocked!! Apple has nailed it.

Face ID even works if you are wearing glasses, as long as the infrared scanner that’s checking out your face can penetrate the lenses. This Face ID is enabled by the TrueDepth camera which is located in the notch. This facial mapping camera is powerful and accurate.

Animoji:

Animoji is fun!! You can create Animoji (talking emoji) by using your face and TrueDepth Camera. You can be a talking dog, cat, robot, unicorn, among other avatars. After creating, You can send this animated emoji to your friends. This is a feature that can delight children.

iPhone X Performance:

Apple iPhone X has the A11 Bionic chip running in tandem with 3GB of RAM. It is a powerful configuration on Apple’s phones. It gives a better gaming experience. All games look bright and colorful on an OLED display. The only downside is gaming can quickly drain a battery. And that is nothing new for Apple.

There is also a Taptic Engine on the phone which is a vibrating motor. It gives a real clicking feel in the hand while playing games. You will get a real sense of a machine gun firing, taking hits yourself, or flipping through a list because of the Taptic Engine.

iPhone X Design:

iPhone X has a little bezel and a glass back premium design. There is no home button like in previous iPhone models. It has a weighty steel rim on the outside blending in impressively with the curved glass all around.

In some cases, we found some users reported scuffing on the metal rim. So, we suggest to use cases. This will make the smartphone look premium for a long time. The iPhone X is solidly built.

There are elegantly embedded buttons on the side of the phone. On the backside, there is a dual-camera setup with a flash in the left corner. Speakers in the iPhone X are on the downside but give a good sound experience. There is no headphone jack. So, you have to use Bluetooth headphones or ‘AirPods’.

iPhone X Camera:

iPhone X has a rear 12MP dual camera with an f/2.4 aperture and a Front-facing 7MP TrueDepth Camera. This selfie camera has depth-sensing technology which gives great portrait selfies with blurred backgrounds.

The rear camera gives rich and stunning shots. It gives natural-looking photos. Because of improved contrast ratios and better colors, those photos look beautiful on the OLED display. Overall snapping speed and quality of the iPhone X camera are great.

You can record 4K videos with 60fps on iPhone X. Optical Image Stabilization gives stable videos. All 4K videos can take huge space so you may have to choose 256 variant or iCloud service for storage.

Battery:

iPhone X has a 2,716mAh battery. With moderate usage, it lasts around 18 hours. It has a wireless charging feature and it takes 2 hours to charge fully from a dead battery.

You can also buy a USB-C Lightning cable and block to get fast charging capabilities – reported to be 50% battery from 30 minutes of power – but that costs $75 / £75 / AU$100 to buy the cable and block.
