DJI Mavic Pro Features & Specifications:
DJI Mavic Pro is a small drone with 3-axis stabilization. It has a 734g weight and a 4K-capable camera with many filters and options to choose from.
The drone is designed to fold to the size of a water bottle!! This drone is small enough that it will not take up too much space in your bag. Or, depending on the space, it could even be small enough to fit in your pocket! After folding, the drone’s size becomes 83x83x198mm only.
DJI Mavic Pro comes with a forward and downward vision system, and GPS for better flight performance. It has 27 minutes of flight time (depending on the wind). It supports Micro USB (Type-B), and USB (Type-C) for mobile connectivity.
DJI Mavic Pro Camera:
The camera of the DJI Mavic Pro is small but powerful. It stays true to its 4K capabilities. Its 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor can capture 12MP stills in JPEG or DNG RAW format, as well as video at a variety of resolutions and frame rates: 4K at 30fps or 1080p at up to 96fps. But it cannot record 4K/60fps videos.
The shutter speed is 8s-1/8000s, which is great on its own. For still photography, there are some options to choose from EV Bias, Interval, Single Shot, Burst Shooting at 3/5/7 Frames per Second, Auto Exposure Bracketing, AEB at 3/5 bracketed frames per 0.7, etc.
The Mavic Pro camera is mounted on a tiny motorized gimbal combined with the drone’s suite of sensors. It can make near-instant adjustments to keep itself level at all times. You can also set it to a POV mode, which tilts and turns it along with the drone.
Sensors in Mavic Pro:
There are four sensors onboard including an Ultrasonic sensor and a Binocular vision system. The sensors aid in-flight stability and safety. These sensors pair faces downwards and frontwards, detecting obstacles in a forward arc and preventing the drone from hitting objects.
DJI Mavic Pro precision measurement range is 2 ft (0.7m) to 49 ft (15m). The detectable range is 49 ft (15m) to 98 ft (30m).
It’ll stop moving if it comes within a few feet of anything solid. But only when it’s in front or downward. The obstacle detection won’t prevent a crash if the Mavic moves backward or sideways into a tree, lamppost, or neighbor’s window. So beware! Now, DJI has added all directional sensors to their latest DJI drones.
Durability & Build Quality:
This drone has a hinge system that helps with the safety of the drone. It allows the drone to fold itself up into a compact size. You don’t even need to remove propellers. You can fold them too. The build quality is top-notch.
Where durability is concerned, users will never have to worry about destructive crash landing, crashing against objects, or even rain!!
If you still crash your drone, the best way to get it back is by using the GPS information stored on the DJI GO App. Click on the map, zoom in to where the last signal was sent from, then head over and start searching. It’s crazy how accurate it is!
Mavic Pro Battery, Range & Flight Time:
The drone comes with a 3830 mAh battery, a voltage of 11.4, LiPo 3S type. The battery gives the drone 21-27 minutes of flight time. Charging temperature varies between 41° to 104° F (5°C to 40°C).
The new DJI OcuSync transmission system gives a great transmission range. It allows the Mavic Pro to transmit live HD video streaming at 1080p/720p from a safe distance of up to 4.3 miles (7 kilometers).
You get 720p@30fps, 1080p@30fps view quality live on the remote controller, 720p@30fps via Wi-Fi, and 720p@60fps, 1080p@30fps with DJI Goggles.
