OnePlus 8 Pro Will Have a 120Hz Display!

OnePlus 8 Pro will not be settling at 90Hz!

OnePlus is now working on its next flagship smartphone after the huge success of the OnePlus 7 models. About the display, the OnePlus 7 Pro crossed the 60Hz threshold for smartphones. Now according to leaks, the OnePlus company might add a 120Hz display to its upcoming flagship OnePlus 8 smartphone series.

Before 2019, all companies used less than 60Hz displays for their smartphones. Only a few gaming smartphones have a 60Hz display in 2019. While launching the OnePlus 7 series in May 2019, the company raised the bar of a regular phone display by giving a 60Hz refresh rate. OnePlus 7 Pro has a 60Hz display with an excellent screen.

Now the company is preparing its next flagship smartphone OnePlus 8 which will have a 120Hz display. This will make the OnePlus 8 smartphone the smoothest phone around in the market.

Currently, only a few gaming smartphones have a 120Hz display. This list includes Asus ROG Phone II which has a 120Hz AMOLED display and great color accuracy. It is excellent to play games at 60 fps.

As OnePlus has a strategy to launch 2-3 versions of smartphones, we think they will launch the OnePlus 8 with a 90Hz display and the OnePlus 8T or OnePlus 8T Pro with a 120Hz display.

The smartphone will have a full-screen design with a punch-hole front camera and is likely to flaunt a 6.65-inch Fluid Display. It is also possible that OnePlus 8 will have 4 camera lenses for better photography. The camera lenses will be dedicated to an ultra-wide-angle, a telephoto lens that will likely support 3x optical zoom, and a primary camera with improved megapixels.

The smartphone will come with Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 865 processor, 8GB/10GB RAM, and 128/256GB internal storage. OnePlus 8 series will be launch around May 2020.

Samsung and Apple are also coming with their smartphones which will have 120Hz displays and improved cameras. In 2020, Apple might launch 3 models of iPhone 12 with 120Hz ProMotion OLED displays.
