Automobili Lamborghini revealed its new Essenza SCV12, a track-only hypercar on July 29. Essenza SCV12 is exclusively built for the track with the latest racing engineering technology.
Essenza SCV12 is a limited-edition Lamborghini car. It was developed by Lamborghini Squadra Corse and designed by Lamborghini Centro Stile. The company is going to build only 40 units of Essenza SCV12.
Engine, Dynamics, Power:
Essenza SCV12 comes with the most powerful Lamborghini engine to the date. The car is equipped with a Longitudinal V12 engine which gives 830CV of output, a power-to-weight ratio of 1.66 Kg/Cv, 6.498 cm³ displacements.
The power is handled by a new X-trac sequential 2WD 6-speed gearbox. The push-rod rear suspension is installed directly on the gearbox. The 6-speed gearbox is combined with a rear-wheel drive that gives better compactness, structural continuity, and greater torsional stiffness.
Essenza SCV12 has new-generation carbon fiber monocoque chassis. There is no internal rollcage. Exhaust pipes in this car also reduce back pressure. The front hood has a double air intake with a central rib.
The car offers 12 ABS at different positions. It has a double wishbones suspension, Monolock System for the wheel fixing.
These engineering, kinematic solutions, racing prototypes, and technology gives improved performance while maintaining the unique sound of the Lamborghini engine.
The Essenza SCV12 is the first GT car developed to respect FIA prototype safety rules.
