Horizon Zero Dawn Gameplay:
Horizon Zero Dawn starts in the post-apocalyptic world where robotic dinosaur-like creatures rule the land. With the herds of these dinosaur-like creatures, tribal people are surviving and keeping themselves alive.
You play Aloy, the female protagonist, who is from the Nora tribe. The Nora tribe is superstitious and their past feels connected to the metal world. After the tribe is attacked, Aloy is sent on an adventurous journey to uncover her past, to know where she came from.

Horizon Zero Dawn is a third-person open-world game. Aloy uses different bows, spears, slings in this mind-blowing adventure to hunt down the machines, Robo dinos.
You gain experience as you play, and explore the land, new settlements, ruins, and bandit camps. There are so many tools to use in this adventure. After gaining experience, Aloy earns more skill points, gains health, abilities. You have to make moral decisions relating to fierceness, kindness, and wisdom talking to others.
About skills, we suggest you give more priority to Lure & Silent Strike skills while using experience points. With these skills, you can kill smaller Grazers and Watchers robot animals to boost your XP and loot.
Horizon Zero Dawn Map
You are going to love this stunning world. The map of the game is huge and gives so many places to explore. There are ruins, snowy mountains, dense forests to explore. But be careful while exploring, as there are so many ruthless machines and bandits in this world.
You should start buying maps as they will reveal more locations, hidden collectibles like Banuk figures, vessels, metal flowers, and vantage points. You can buy maps after “The Proving”.
Remember to visit the campfire nearby as it is the place where the game gets saved. At other times, I noticed the game does not save the progress automatically. So if you are wandering in the open world for a long time without visiting any campfire, you may lose progress if you die.
The map is full of organic and machine creatures. If you play the difficulty level as “Ultra Hard” then you have to fight against more machines. The combat system is not complicated but offers different weapons and combos. It is a really enjoyable experience.
You have to use different weapons and skills, some of them are bow shots, spear strikes, dodge rolls. In some battles, you have to set traps/tripwires in the combat arena.
Photo Mode
You can use Photo Mode in this game. With this feature, you can take beautiful environmental photos of the Horizon world using a free camera. It is fun to capture! You can adjust so many options to customize and personalize each photo taken.
You can change the field of view, rotate the image on the X-axis, hide the player, focus distance, aperture, brightness, colors, intensity, saturation, time of day, borders, logo, and vignette.
Horizon Zero Dawn PC Performance, Crashes, Steam Update and Fixes
Before playing the game, please use the in-game benchmark tool. This will give you an understanding of what FPS and graphics level you can achieve on your current system.
Horizon Zero Dawn PC Edition supports native 4K ultra-widescreen, 60FPS+. You can also set custom FOV to change the camera distance from Aloy, set render scaling, frame rates, etc.
We played Horizon Zero Dawn on our Dell gaming laptop which comes with an i7HQ CPU, GTX 1050Ti Graphics Card, and 16GB RAM laptop. It gives 30-40FPS with Ultra settings.
On the first day, it worked fine for 25 minutes and crashed after it. We changed the settings from Ultra to High level, and it worked. No more crashes yet. It sometimes stutters at hunting or entering a new area but does not hang.
It is a case of a great PC game with a bad port! But, game developers have released a patch on Steam, and more are coming soon. This should fix most of the crash issues on your system. The developers are actively looking for all possible solutions and will release more patches and updates in the upcoming days. So you just have to wait for it.

Horizon Zero Dawn PC supports different display resolutions and aspect ratios. So you can enjoy this beautiful game on your Ultrawide monitors. The best thing is you can play Horizon Zero Dawn at higher graphics settings and frame rates than the PS4 version.

You should definitely buy it.
It is one of the best games in the last few years and now you can buy it on Steam with Frozen Wilds expansion. Though the PC version needs some fixes, this game will get bug fixes and patches, so you don’t have to worry about it. Just have some patience!
